PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, Citeureup Plant, got a damaged fabric expansion joint in their kiln mill. The lifetime was less than a year. We were called to solve the problem. It was very clear that the material of that expansion joint cannot stand to flexing movement. We proposed better material: MX-Flex material. It is a fiberglass cloth COATED by rich PTFE and LAMINATED by MCP (Multi Cross PTFE). MX-Flex has flexing strength 5 times stronger and has cracking strength 1000 times stronger than standard PTFE.
